I am very excited to present a project I am co-producing with singer-songwriter Sean Devine – his latest record, Austin Blues. Today marks the first day of our crowd-funding campaign, and if you have any spark in you for singer/songwriters or folk music, you will have a major bonfire on your hands when you hear what Sean is doing.

We are headed to Austin on Monday to start the recording process at Cedar Creek Recording with John Ross Silva at the helm and will have the abundantly talented likes of Travis Woodard (Charlie Robison), Rob Ramos, Jon Napier, Phil Hurley (Jimmy LeFave, Stonehoney), Steve Bernal (Alejandro Escovedo), Kenny Williams (Montana Rose, Tessy Lou & the Shotgun Stars) and Christy Hays, to name a few.

And on Saturday the 15th – after all the rehearsals and sessions – we are very excited to present the band with Sean at the Saxon Pub as a part of a killer night of music kicking off with The South Austin Moonlighters followed by The Whiskey Sisters and then Sean at midnight! Please look it over and tell a friend who you know loves this kind of music. Not only does the crowd-funding campaign serve to raise the money for the project, but more importantly, we hope, it expands the reach and relevancy of the artist – help us find our fans!!!

WOW – what a great weekend. Thank you so much to the folks who came out, old friends and hopefully new! It really hit home especially this weekend for some reason to see familiar faces at Mixers Saloon and The Murray Bar and equally thrilling to see so many new faces who stayed and listened and danced with us to the very end…THANK YOU from all of us…

Getting’ ready for a big time at Mixers Saloon? Me too. Fringe and sequins, slick shiny boots, crisp, creased Wranglers and fistful of brew. These are my expectations for the evening…

If you’ve been waiting for the right night to come out and see us – this is it! Or for that matter, if you’ve been waiting for the right occasion to go to Butte, this is DEFINITELY it….If you wanna ride with us, we can put you up in the band apartment after the show…We’ll even let you snuggle Jason. Or promise that you won’t have to – whichever floats your boat.

Also, this week, Sean Devine and I will be playing an acoustic set at the Mint in Belgrade, 7:30-9:30p. Classy joint, fun people, great food, fancy cocktails and GREAT beer choices as well as the best dance floor around…

Saturday night we play the Silver Dollar in Butte from 9-close – TELL YOUR FRIENDS in the area!!! We’d love to get a big crowd there and cause a scene!
