Heidi came by Katabatic last night to show me what she’d done on the introductory video…WOW. She’s so good! You know how they say, when the student is ready, the teacher appears? Well, I am experiencing my own version of that. All these years that I wasn’t making my second album it was because I couldn’t figure out how to do all of it alone, and at that time, all the elements just weren’t showing up and falling into place.

Now, suddenly, for no apparent reason, I am trying again to make it – and everything is FLOWING. Truly first and foremost, I have to credit witnessing Sean Devine take his most recent album on. If I hadn’t gotten to be so close to that process, I think I still would have been wondering how the hell I was ever going to make another record.

But ever since I first started to get after this time, things have ben rolling out for me – and one of those things, in a big way, is Heidi! Roadtripper, sounding board, cheerleader, believer, videographer and editor….I mean…this is so cool! I’ve never enjoyed this much support in exactly all the areas that I’m the weakest! What fun!

And wait ’til you see the photos that Taylor Kent took – who even am I?!?! Who is that woman in the pictures – I’ve NEVER had pictures taken of me like that.

Who knew I’d have to leave California to get the best pictures and video made of me and that I’d have to leave Austin to have the musical life that I dreamed of – in Montana!?!? I am loving life right now. There’s just no tellin’. You have to get out and step in the current if you want things to happen.
